Greetings all!
So sorry I haven't been online in so long, but I have a busy life, and that means I don't have a lot of time for blogging. However, I did want to post about this. Yesterday, the world found out that Norman Bridwell, the author of the Clifford the Big Red Dog books, died at age 86. This is saddening for me, because I loved Clifford when I was younger. I don't remember the books so much (though I did still read them occasionally), but I remember the television show with the late John Ritter as the voice of Clifford and loved it. So much so that when I saw JLY #56, I knew that she looked (yes, even with curly hair and freckles) like Emily Elizabeth. So, I wanted to post this picture of my Emily Elizabeth in honor of Bridwell.
RIP Mr. Bridwell, and thank you for touching so many lives all around the world.
Hopefully after Christmas I'll be able to get on and show you the girls that I have acquired while I've been off of this blog.
Peace!

GOTY 2015 buzz + my thoughts
Well, as everyone is psyched and buzzing about Isabelle's movie that just came out, we already have book info about her replacement for next year. And honestly, I have mixed feelings about her.
Book 1: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1609588916/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=1609588916&linkCode=as2&tag=agdollresources-20&linkId=PLILD6U7PV2PDYPX
Book 2: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1609588924/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=1609588924&linkCode=as2&tag=agdollresources-20&linkId=WZK63U7KKCI3ZNXG
(if you have any issue with the links, let me know)
And now, here are my thoughts about her. Before I mention plot, I want to mention how surprised I am that she does not have three books like Isabelle had. I wonder why not? On one hand, she sounds great. On the other, she's boring. Great due to the fact that a) we do not have a performer or arts in any fashion (score!), and 2) she bakes! And goes to France! I mean, we haven't had a doll who travels to another country since Jess all the way back in 2006 I think!
Boring because of having that conflict with her cousin, and that reminds me an awful lot of Kanani and her cousin. And just most of the story line itself. Having to help her friends and training a dog. Yes, another dog. I'm not going to say anything on appearance until I actually see the doll/illustrations for myself. And one more plus, her stories are written by Mary Casanova.
I'm somewhat excited to learn more about her, especially her name! All in due time, though, all in due time.

Until next time....peace!

Isabelle Dances into the Spotlight review
Alright, so I got to watch Isabelle's new movie on YouTube a few days earlier than what the blu-ray/DVD release date is, and, really, it did not exceed any of my expectations, but it was slightly better than I thought it would be.
This is the cover art for the film, which will be released to the general public on July 22nd. I happened to see it on YouTube early because the user was able to get it early off iTunes and therefore uploaded it onto YouTube for us to see. If you search the movie title, you will be able to see it. Now, for this review, I will be splitting it up into different sections.
Characters: I loved the Isabelle books much more than I thought I would, and that was due to the characters and how they interacted with each other. And the movie stays true to that....sort of. Isabelle was okay, and Erin Pitt did a great job portraying her. However, I feel like she complained too much about not being able to do the things that her sister and the rest of the dancers can do. She was really down on herself much more than in the books, and I didn't like seeing all that negativity coming from her. That leads me to Jade, her sister. She very likely was my favorite character in this film. She was the one who stayed the most true to her book counterpart out of all the characters, and I really liked her interaction with Erin's Isabelle. Now for the characters I either didn't like, couldn't stand, or both. Renata was really starting to bug me as the film went on. I did not really see the reason as to why she had to be featured so prominently and always picking on Isabelle the way that she did. I was also disappointed on how less featured Luisa was, and especially how their magician friend from the books Gabriel was cut from the film completely. I wish we could have gotten more from Jackie Sanchez, but I was happy to have her featured as much as she was. However, the director was also getting under my skin, but I think it was due to really focusing on how Isabelle's struggling and he wasn't helping that by continually yelling "NO Isabelle!!" I know, directors need to do that to get people the way they want, but this guy was doing it almost from the get go. Overall, I would say that the characters were good, but not great.
Plot: The plot was what sort of bugged me. There were a few points where it dragged or lagged and I was itching for it to move a little more. I also was not too thrilled with some of the scene changes; they reminded me too much of ones from a Disney Channel TV show than an actual movie. Scenes I did like, however, were ones like the moment with Isabelle and the little girl in the wheelchair. The third book really stood out to me with how Isabelle took charge and was able to help with organizing the touring show for the hospitals, and I'm glad we got a glimpse of that with this scene. The ending was a disappointment for me, though. Not the very end, but the entire Nutcracker sequence. I did not like how they just gave Isabelle a very general background part, where as when they did it in the second book, she basically had a part all to herself. I was very disappointed to see that entire Mother-what's-her-name (I can't remember, but it's the one with the lady on the stilts and Isabelle pops out from underneath that big skirt and dances around) scene get cut out in the film. On the other hand, however, I did like when Isabelle fixed Renata's costume for her and talked with her a bit; yet on the other hand again, it's too reminiscent of past Girl of the Year films when the star and the foil made up after butting heads the entire film. Every scene when Isabelle was designing and imagining costumes was great and I loved that spark in Isabelle that came out of that. And when she and Luisa danced at the outdoor picnic, again, I loved the sparkle that came out of her while she did it.
Overall: Really, this film is just too reminiscent of past GOTY films and not all that good. (I have only seen McKenna's and Chrissa's. I have not seen enough of Saige's to actually say anything about it) You can tell that this film was made by the same people who produced/directed/etc McKenna and Saige's films; just by the attitude of the title characters as well as the overall plot arc. They had several key things from the stories missing in this film, as well as key characters. Not the best AG film by any means, but certainly not the worst. Yes Isabelle was whiny and complained, but not quite as much I thought that McKenna had done in her film, and all of her scenes with Jade (or at least a very large chunk of them) were great. Grace Davidson and Erin Pitt had a great bond with each other, and it is easily noticeable on screen. All in all, I give this movie a C+.
So, have you seen Isabelle's movie yet? If so, do you agree with my thoughts or do you think exactly the opposite? Also, was there anything I said that didn't make sense? Comment below with any thoughts, questions, opinions, etc.
Until next time....Peace!!

P.S. I finished Isabelle's ebook the other day, and was loving it--but the ending was not good. It ended way too quickly and suddenly for my taste. Again, Jade and Isabelle's interactions with each other were great, and I loved how Isabelle tried to befriend Miki. You all should check it out!

Some new faces!
Wanted to show you a couple new faces around the place. :) First, here they both are:
This is Natalie (#25 on the left) and of course, Kirsten Larson on the right.
As you know from earlier, I had to send Kirsten in to the doll hospital to get her head fixed. And, within one week (for the most part) she returned home! I just had too much going on to even try and get on the blog! But doesn't she look beautiful? And she returned home with the ribbons as well. The dress and bonnet she came with from the ebay seller, and the apron is one that a friend of mine made for me. I love her to death, and now....I only have one more historical doll to get, and then I'll have all of them! Isn't that crazy?
The other doll I wanted to introduce you to is Natalie. I got her only a few days ago at the American Girl store in Chicago. She is wearing the Easy Breezy outfit from American Girl (I got that also that day), and she does have a hearing aid in her right ear.
Here's a close up of her hearing aid. Due to having to travel on public transportation, I had them put it in her while she was still in the box. Though I absolutely love Natalie so so much, I must complain about how they really need to change the MyAG meet outfit. I now have four sets of that outfit. Ugh. If anyone wants one or two of them, please comment and tell me. I'd be happy to give them to you.
Hope you like my pictures and thanks for reading!
Until next time.....peace!!

Kirsten is here!
Hi everyone!
Thought I would update you all and show you who arrived yesterday!!
It's Kirsten!! I was so happy to see her, but then I saw what exactly she looked like.
I don't know if you can tell, but the poor girl has silver eye in her eye, dirty skin, and frizzy messy (as well as cut!) hair. She will be making the trek to the doll hospital today as soon as I can find a box for her.
Here's a picture of her hair, and as you can see (and as I said) her hair is cut, and it's a pretty bad cut as well. This was not what she came in, but I wanted something for her to be comfortable in before she headed to the doll hospital. I'm asking for AG to just replace her head, and they will probably also (hopefully) clean her skin as well.
My dolls all wish Kirsten the best as she makes the journey up to Wisconsin to the doll hospital! I'll keep you all updated as to when she comes home again.
Until next time...peace!

Great news all around! (sorry, no pictures)
Happy Sunday everyone!
I just wanted to update you all and tell you that I am now officially a high school graduate since yesterday early afternoon. It's a weird feeling to have, but it's great to have my future in front of me!
In dolly news, I am now the proud owner of a Kirsten Larson doll! I bought her off of ebay and she should be here by Friday. However, she is in need of some care and I'll be sending her to the AG doll hospital the day after she gets here. (She has silver eye as well as some messed up hair). But I have been wanting Kirsten for so long, and now I've finally got her!
Hope everyone's having a great weekend!
Peace!

Welcome one and all!!
Hello everyone in the blogging world!! I am MusicLuver99, and I am a (as of May 25th 2014) near high school graduate who is also a BIG fan of American Girl dolls! You won't believe this, but I have almost 40 AG dolls in total! In these pics I'm about to show you, it is not all of them by any means. Four of my dolls are at my dad's house, and they are Jess (GOTY 2006), Mia (GOTY 2008), Lanie (GOTY 2010), and Rebecca (1914 historical). I also failed to include most of my Bitties. (oops!) So, who isn't pictured of that crowd are: Jerusha (brunette girl twin), Alex and Elliott (blond boys), and Noel (my brunette baby). Here are the rest of my girls (sorry, the quality isn't so great. I took them on my iPod. I hope to use my camera more often from now on.)
Here's Sarah (JLY #16), Isabelle (GOTY 2014), Josefina Montoya, and Emily Elizabeth (JLY #56)
All of the AG brand best friends!! From top left on: Chrissa, Gwen, and Sonali (GOTY 2009), Felicity Merriman and Elizabeth Cole, Cecile Rey and Marie-Grace Gardner, Samantha Parkington and Nellie O'Malley, Kit Kittredge and Ruthie Smithens, Molly McIntire and Emily Bennett, and finally Julie Albright and Ivy Ling
Being lazy in beds we have Charlotte (JLY #37) and two of my Bitty Twins, Judah and Maria (African American boy and girl with medium skin and dark brown hair)
From top to bottom (there's no one in the middle): K'Shawna (JLY #31), Caroline Abbott, Marisol (GOTY 2005), Kanani (GOTY 2011), Carly (JLY #44), McKenna (GOTY 2012)
More lazy girls!! From left to right we have: Sadie Lynn (JLY #38 and Charlotte's twin sister), Lindsey (GOTY 2001), and Saige (GOTY 2013)
And last but certainly not least....we have Addy Walker. She actually doesn't belong to me. Addy is my mom's doll, whom I gave the latter for her birthday a few years back. However, my mom insisted that Addy stay in my room so that she doesn't get lonely, so I get to house Addy. :)
Well...those are all of my girls. I cannot wait to blog some more, but do understand that I will not be able to do so every day. Maybe once or twice a week, at least.
Until next time...Peace!!
